Objective: 

The course has been designed to impart the knowledge of the various documents involved in export as well as import business.

Unit I: 
Preliminaries of Export & Import

Method of Exporting, Direct Export: meaning, advantage, disadvantages. Indirect Export: meaning, advantage, disadvantage.
Preliminaries of Import: Liberalization of imports, Negative list for imports, Categories of importers, Special Schemes for importers

Unit II: 
Registration Formalities:

IE code, Procedure for Obtaining, Exemption from IEC Number, Registration-cum-Membership Certificate (RCMC), Export License, Application for Import and Export of Restricted Items, Electronic Data Interchange (EDI)

Unit III: 
Export Documentation:

Introduction, ADS Export Documentation in India, Commercial Invoice, Shipping Bill, Certificate of Origin, Consular Invoice, Mate’s Receipt, GR Form

Unit IV: 
Import Documents:

Transport Documentation, Bill of Entry, Airway Bill, Certification of Inspection, Certification of Measurement, Freight Declaration

Unit V: 
Negotiation of Order:

Nature, Process of Negotiation, Tips for Successful Negotiation
